June 7-July 28, an 8 week course, Pharmacy Technician, will be take place at Heartland Pontiac from 5-8:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Student do need to apply, but no placement testing is required. This certificate program is a great way for individuals to learn new skills and start a new career quickly.

Whether you are just starting to gain leadership experience or are ready to take your skills to the next level, the Teen Leadership & Service Academy can help you grow your professionalism and earn service hours around your busy summer schedule. Complete a full-day workshop with a business training expert that includes tools and activities for growing key communication, goal-setting, and teamwork skills. Then put your new skills into practice with K-8th students as you assist Challenger Learning Center and Continuing Education instructors and/or take part in other service opportunities. Upon successful completion of the Academy, reflection questions, and volunteer hours, you’ll receive a personalized reference letter and documentation of your service to area youth.

Last week before we went on break, we had a “clap out” for 6 of our FFA members who are competing tomorrow at State Proficiency Awards! We wish the best of luck to Grace Brown, Aidan Harner, Sam Jones, Hattie Koeller, William Weber, and Wyatt Zehr who are in the top 5 in the state in their respective areas and now competing to be the state winner!
